Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the PokePrice API service ("Service"), operated by Slanted Spear, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PokePrice provides a REST API for accessing Pokemon trading card pricing data aggregated from multiple data sources. The Service includes real-time pricing, historical data, search functionality, and related features available through paid subscription plans.

3. API Usage

You must use a valid API key to access the Service. API keys are non-transferable and must not be shared publicly. You agree to:

• Use the API only for lawful purposes
• Not exceed the rate limits of your subscription plan
• Not attempt to circumvent rate limiting or access controls
• Not resell or redistribute raw API data as a competing service
• Keep your API keys confidential and secure

4. Rate Limits

Each subscription plan includes specific rate limits (requests per minute, daily, and monthly). Exceeding these limits may result in throttled requests or temporary suspension. Persistent abuse may result in account termination.

5. Subscription & Billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal.

6. Data Accuracy

Pricing data is aggregated from third-party sources and provided "as is." While we strive for accuracy through our composite pricing algorithm, we do not guarantee that prices are error-free or reflect actual market transaction prices. Data should not be used as the sole basis for financial decisions.

7. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Slanted Spear shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

8. Service Availability

We target 99.9% uptime for Enterprise plans. However, we reserve the right to perform maintenance, updates, or modifications to the Service. We will provide reasonable notice of planned downtime when possible.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and ceasing use of the API.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
